In 1985, newly graduated Certified Horticulturist, Brian Huyck opened the doors to H & M Landscaping for the first time. Since then the company, under Brian's leadership and vision has prospered into one of the most respected full-service landscaping companies in Mid-Michigan.

Brian's roots have always been planted locally. After graduating from Holly and Linden schools, he attended Ferris State University completing his degree in Horticulture. His love of learning continues to this day as he has recently been elected President of the Genesee Area Landscape and Nursery Association (GALNA) for the 2007 and 2008 term. 

Currently Brian and his wife Joleen, reside in Swartz Creek with their children Charla, Trisha, Isabelle, Rachel, Caroline and Ella. The Huyck family has strong Christian beliefs as they are all active at The Central Church of the Nazarene in Flint.  Brian can be seen weekly sharing his talents in the choir. One of the keys to H & M's success is Brian's commitment to his Christian values.
